Hin
The hin are often considered affable and cheerful people. Though small, they survive in a world filled with larger creatures by avoiding being noticed.
Generally living slightly longer than humans, they generally spend their lives avoiding conflict in anyway they can. They are also generally reluctant to share their culture with other races.
Names
Hin has a given name, a family name, and possibly a nickname. Family names tend to be nicknames that stuck so much they were passed down through generations.
Traits
Ability score increase. Any ability score of your choice (generally dexterity) increases by 2.
Age. A hin reaches adulthood around 20 years of age, and generally lives around 250 years.
Size. Hin are considered small creatures.
Speed. They have a base walking speed of 25 feet.
Lucky. When you roll a 1 on the d20 for an attack, ability check, or saving throw, you can reroll the die and must take the new roll.
Brave. You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Hin Nimbleness. Inheritable You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.
Language. You can speak, read, and write Common and Hin.
Subraces
These subraces have the main set of hin traits along with those listed for each.
Lightfoot Hin
Lightfoots can easily hide from notice, even using other people as cover.
Ability score increase. Any other ability score of your choice (generally charisma) increases by 1.
Naturally Stealthy. You can attempt to hide even when you are only obscured by a creature of one size larger than you.
Strongheart Hin
Often mistaken for dwarves, Stronghearts are hardier than the average hin.
Abiilty score increase. Any other ability score of your choice (generally constitution) increases by 1.
Stout Resilience. Stronghearts have advantage on saving throws against poison, and they're resistant to poison damage.
Ghostwise Hin
Ghostwise are the rarest of hin-kind.
Abiilty score increase. Any other ability score of your choice (generally wisdom) increases by 1.
Silent Speech. Ghostwise can speak telepathically with any creature within 30 feet. The telepathic communication doesn't get translated and isn't shared amongst a group.
