These bards study the art of rhetoric not merely as a performance craft but as a discipline of the mind — honing every sentence, every pause, and every glance until persuasion becomes as natural as breathing.

3rd-level College of Eloquence feature

When you join the College of Eloquence at 3rd level, you become so practiced in the art of persuasion and misdirection that even an off day is better than most people's best. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion) or Charisma (Deception) check, you can treat a roll of 9 or lower on the die as a 10.

Unsettling Words

3rd-level College of Eloquence feature

Also at 3rd level, you learn to weave a subtle thread of unease into your words, leaving your target doubting their own resolve. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. Roll a Bardic Inspiration die. Until the start of your next turn, the target must subtract the number rolled from the next saving throw it makes.

Unfailing Inspiration

6th-level College of Eloquence feature

Starting at 6th level, your inspiring words are so carefully chosen that they linger in a creature's mind even when the moment of need has passed without success. When a creature adds one of your Bardic Inspiration dice to an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw and the roll still fails, the Bardic Inspiration die is not expended.

Universal Speech

6th-level College of Eloquence feature

Also at 6th level, you have learned to infuse your words with enough primal clarity that any thinking creature can grasp their meaning. As an action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose a number of creatures within 60 feet of you, up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one creature). For 1 hour, the chosen creatures can understand you whenever you speak, regardless of the language you use.

Infectious Inspiration

14th-level College of Eloquence feature

At 14th level, when you successfully stir one creature to greatness, your enthusiasm ripples outward and emboldens another. When a creature uses one of your Bardic Inspiration dice and the roll succeeds, you can use your reaction to grant a different creature within 60 feet of you a Bardic Inspiration die without expending any of your uses of Bardic Inspiration. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
