Lunar Sorcery
The moon is a constant presence in the night sky, cycling endlessly through phases that have shaped calendars, tides, and prophecies since time immemorial. Some sorcerers are attuned to these cycles in a way that goes beyond mere observation—their magic waxes and wanes with the moon itself, shifting character and power as the phases turn. Lunar Sorcery sorcerers are never quite the same caster twice, and that unpredictability is itself a form of power.
These sorcerers tend to be introspective souls who have learned to embrace change rather than resist it. The full moon fills them with radiant energy and a desire to heal and reveal. The crescent moon grants them subtlety and silence. The new moon calls forth the dark and the hidden. Wise Lunar Sorcerers time their great workings to match the phase that serves them best.

Lunar Embodiment
1st-level Lunar Sorcery feature
Also at 1st level, you learn additional spells tied to the three phases of the moon. You always have one phase active; when you finish a long rest, you can switch to any phase you choose.

Waxing and Waning
6th-level Lunar Sorcery feature
Starting at 6th level, you gain greater control over the phases of your power. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 sorcery point to change your current lunar phase to a different one.
Whenever you shift phases in this way, you immediately gain a benefit based on the phase you enter:
- Full Moon: You regain 3 hit points for each sorcery point spent on phase shifts since your last long rest.
- Crescent Moon: You gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage for 1 minute.
- New Moon: You become invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack or cast a spell.
Lunar Boons
6th-level Lunar Sorcery feature
Also at 6th level, the lunar phases grant you passive benefits based on the phase you currently embody:
- Full Moon: When you cast a spell that restores hit points, you can roll a \(d6\) and add the result to one healing roll of that spell.
- Crescent Moon: While in this phase, you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
- New Moon: While in this phase, you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Weal and Woe
14th-level Lunar Sorcery feature
Beginning at 14th level, the moon's duality of light and darkness bleeds into your spellwork. When you cast a spell associated with your current lunar phase using a spell slot, you can roll a \(d6\) and choose one of the following effects:
- Add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you make before the end of your next turn.
- Subtract the number rolled from one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw made by a creature you can see within 30 feet of you before the end of your next turn.
Lunar Phenomenon
18th-level Lunar Sorcery feature
At 18th level, as a bonus action, you can tap into the sublime power of your current lunar phase, creating a potent magical effect in a 30-foot radius around you. The effect depends on your current phase:
- Full Moon: Moonlight washes over the area. Each ally of your choice in the radius regains hit points equal to \(2d10\) + your Charisma modifier.
- Crescent Moon: A blinding silver light flashes outward. Each hostile creature in the radius must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be blinded until the start of your next turn.
- New Moon: A wave of concealing darkness flows out. Each ally of your choice in the radius becomes invisible until the start of your next turn or until they attack or cast a spell.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.
